creative

After high school, I deep down still wanted to be a painter and go to art school, but I wasn’t confident enough to pursue a creative career. I decided to go to university, which is actually a pretty strange choice, because studying is much harder for me than drawing and being creative. I studied Dutch language and literature with a focus on medieval texts and religion.

Being a pretty sensitive person, I loved having to spend days on end in the library by myself. I still love these subjects, and I’m happy this is part of my journey. But at the time, my creative side was not getting nurtured, which resulted in a burnout during my masters in religion studies.
